Christopher Lane: Stage Director for VOX Integra 'Staged Opera Scenes' in August!

We are excited to extend a very warm welcome to Christopher Lane who will be directing our Staged Opera Scenes in August. The week will take place in the gorgeous Feltre, Italy!

Christopher is a London based theatre director whose work includes the UK premieres of The Theory of Relativity by Neil Bartram and Brian Hill (nominated for Best Production of a New Musical – BroadwayWorld UK/West End), Paul Scott Goodman’s Bright Lights Big City and Andrew Lippa’s john & jen. Christopher is part of the freelance staff directing team at the Royal Opera House and recently worked on their productions of Mitradate Re di Ponto, Norma and Oedipe. Christopher has directed for many of London’s drama schools and is presently directing the postgraduate opera scenes for Trinity College of Music. He has also produced and directed several concerts including the 2016/17 concert series The West End Up Close in partnership with the House of St. Barnabas in Soho.

In February of 2017 Christopher began pursuing research and directing opportunities in narrative CGI and 360° Virtual Reality. In December 2017 he was awarded a Grant for the Arts by Arts Council England to develop a new narrative VR experience with noted CGI VR company Breaking Fourth Ltd; this will be released in the autumn of 2018. He is also the recipient of a Catalyst Grant from the Waltham Forest Council. With this grant he is developing a prototype Shakespeare VR experience with the support of leading 360° VR company Visualise and Walthamstow's

CentrE17. This project will be showcased at CentrE17 in May/June. He is also part of the 2018 Digital Catapult residency programme at Brighton's Wired Sussex/FuseBox space.
